In this week's episode of New Girl, two storylines run at the same time.

Schmidt, unsurprisingly, has a hard time relinquishing control. Nick and Winston put up with it because Schmidt cooks and cleans for everybody without complaint. Jess, ever the good person, wants Schmidt to relax a little and help him stop Nick and Winston from taking advantage of his neat freak tendencies. Things go awry when Schmidt is unable to find a happy medium and relaxes TOO much, causing Jess to ask him to return to the control freak he once was.

Meanwhile, Nick and Winston had a poker night with friends that culminates in a drunken Nick owing Winston $437. When Winston talks to Nick about his outstanding debt, it escalates to the two arguing over all the money they had ever borrowed from each other. Things come to a boiling point when they get into a physical fight at the grocery, ending with the two of them agreeing to just forgive any outstanding debt.
