Hi everyone! Katy Perry is coming out with her own 3D documentary called "Katy Perry: Part of Me." This is quite similar to Justin Bieber's documentary "Never Say Never." This movie is said to hit theatres July 5th this year, during the 4th of July weekend.
The documentary is based on Katy Perry's 124-date California Dream tour, which means that production began over a year ago. (Basically the same idea as Justin Bieber's documentary; he used clips from his My World Tour). The purpose of her documentary is to reveal to her fans what her life is like on and off stage.
From the trailer that came out Tuesday, it seems as though the movie will mainly be focused on her world tour, rather than her divorce from her ex-husband Russell Brand. However there is a clip that shows her crying in her change room. The title of her film is quite ironic, since the song "Part of Me" is mainly focused on the relationship aspect of her life. But it seems as though she will not be revealing much on that aspect of her life.
It is questioned whether this film will be a hit or a miss. Since similar previous films have been a hit or miss; Justin Bieber's film flopped in recent years, and the Jonas Brothers failed to make major ticket sales.
