At dinner tonight, my boyfriend chose to watch Enough on Netflix, I didn't know what it was about except the movie is starring Jennifer Lopez. I thought it'd be like a chick flick movie or something since I didn't read the description nor did he. This movie actually falls under drama and thriller. The movie is about a woman named Slim who marries a rich guy named Mitch. Slim & Mitch's relationship is supposedly like the ideal marriage, big home, perfect life, rich and they have a little girl together named Gracie.. Little did Slim know that her husband was having an affair and caught him red handed one night. Slim confronted her husband and that turned in to her husband hitting her. As she finds ways to escape with her daughter, her husband beats her to it. One day (her friends/family) help her sneak out but her husband reached her before she could escape. Mitch beat her and luckily she was still alive. Mitch let her escape with Gracie.. Slim runs around states trying to survive with no money because Mitch cut her cards. Everywhere Slim runs to, Mitch has his "crew" after her. Eventually Slim gets feed up with watching her back and trains herself to fight back.
Watch the movie to see:
- How Slim and Gracie manages without money
- How do they get money?
- Where did they stay?
- What happens to Mitch? Will he ever be arrested? (Most likely he won't be arrested because who would believe her (a lower class person who was a cafe worker) plus he has money to bail himself
OVERALL: I totally recommend this movie though it did scare me a bit in some scenes cause it's so hurtful to see a man hit a woman but it does exist in the real world! =( I thought I wouldn't like drama/thriller movies but I sure did enjoy it especially seeing the ending. This movie proves a point that abuse shouldn't happen obviously and a woman is capable of beating a man too! However, if you're ever in this position please do seek help-- it's not right to be beaten by your spouse!
Have you seen Enough? How did you like the movie? If not, is this a movie you'd watch?
