Do you guys like the new season (boiling point) or the old degrassi with Emma, Manny & ETC?
I personally prefer the old Degrassi ! Where shit actually happened ! Who are you're favorite characters? Tell me what you think!

So let me give you a run down of the old cast:

Emma - She suffered from anorexia nervousa and is an environmental freak. She’s bff’s with Manny, but they have a huge fight every other episode. She had a gun pointed at her by Rick, a creepy kid that was accidentally killed when he brings a gun to school. She hooks up with Jay and gets gonorrhea because she is “super duper messed up”. She dated Peter, even though he recorded Manny’s drunken boob exposure tape, and framed Sean with drugs. She dated Sean multiple times until he goes away to the army and tells him she can’t wait for him anymore. She goes off to college, falls in love with her roommate. He ditches her on a bike trip. When she comes back from the bike trip, she burns down the Dot, marries Spinner and disappears from the face of the Earth.

Darcy - Jesus freak. She is new to Degrassi when she starts dating Spinner. She converts him, then posts promiscuous pictures of herself online for Spirit Squad money from a creepy man. Her and Spinner break up, and she starts dating Peter, who took the pictures for the creepy man. They go to the mountains one weekend where Darcy gets raped, throws her Chasity ring away, gets clamidia and becomes suicidal. When life gets to be too much for her, she goes off to Kenya.

Marco - The gay guy. He dated Ellie, broke up with her when she figured out he was gay, and then used her to hide his homosexuality. Eventually, he came out to his dad, and the rest of the world, while doing a Shakespeare play. He dates Dillon, gets cheated on, and breaks up with him. He dates a couple more people before going back to Dillon, but then Dillon leaves Canada for hockey. Marco falls into a gambling addiction and then recovers by the next episode.

JT - Liberty’s love, and the school mascot. JT loses his virginity to Liberty, and succeeds in impregnating her. JT gets a respectable job at a pharmacy to pay for his baby’s diapers, but ends up stealing Oxycontin and selling it to druggies. When He realizes it’s wrong, he takes the pills and OD’s. Later, when he recovers, he becomes upset with Liberty during her pregnancy and breaks up with her, but is still there. JT becomes upset with the discussion to give their child up for adoption, so he dates Mia, who had a child at 13. During a party, he realizes he loves Liberty, and then gets killed.

Manny - As Darcy likes to call her, “school’s biggest slut”. Manny has dated Craig, JT, Spinner, Craig while he was dating Ashley, Craig while he was a crack addict, some Lakehurst guy, a fake engaged Jay, her creepy professor, and then Jay. She was impregnated by Craig when she lost her virginity and gets an abortion, which makes Craig go crazy. Her boobs were exposed online by Peter when she gets drunk at a party after getting kicked out of her parents’ house for wanting a boob job. She’s an aspiring actress, who lands a part in Jay and Silent Bob Go Canadian, Aye. She then dates a weird, controlling professor in college, who tells her she’s a failure. She then goes to LA and lands the leading roll in Jay Mews’ “Mewsical High”. She is for real engaged with Jay, and is partially responsible for Spinner and Emma’s drunk wedding, as she suggested they go to Niagara Falls. Oh, she also beats up Jane, which is funny, no mater who you are.

Liberty - An awkward know it all. She is valedictorian of her class, president of many student leadership clubs and dyslexic when it comes to numbers. She has always been in love with JT. When they finally end up dating, she gets pregnant. Liberty goes through with the pregnancy, but gives the baby up for an open adoption. The new parents move away and she gets drunk. JT breaks up with her, and she can’t let go. At her giant birthday bash, she calls him out on still loving her, and then he dies. After she dies, she finds out JT still loved her and goes to college with Emma and Manny. She tries to join a sorority in college, but realizes they only want her because she’s black. She succeeds in college, only making a small appearance at Emma and Spinners wedding.

Craig - Craig randomly shows up one day, son of an abusive doctor, and half brother of Joey’s little girl. He’s a very talented guitar player, singer and song writer. He is in a band with Jimmy, Marco and Spinner for a while called Downtown Sasquatch. He goes out with Manny, but doesn’t date her yet. He dates Ashley, cheats on her with Manny, breaks up with Manny, goes back to Ashley, breaks up with Ashley, dates Manny while he’s away in Vancouver recording an album. He gets addicted to cocaine while out on tour, and half falls in love with Ellie. He lies to her to keep his cocaine. He moves to LA, dates a black supermodel and hangs out with Pete Wentz. He gets Ellie a balloon and falls into a pool with Marco.

Spinner - An insensitive jerk at first. He dates Paige, and has an affair with her a few years later. He helps make fun of Rick after he comes back from beating a girl into a coma. With Jay, they pour pain on Rick, along with feathers. This causes Rick to shoot Jimmy. Jimmy is Spinner’s best friend, and when he finds out, Spinner is dead to him. Spinner goes a year or so alone, but then finds Darcy, who shows him Jesus. He dated Manny for a while before that, but she dumped him because she only wanted to fool around. After Darcy posts half naked pictures of herself on myroompage.com, Spinner breaks up with her. He later dates ex-Lakehurstian Jane, who is the female version of him. He proposes, but she says after college. He works at The Dot, and is aiming for police school, even though he got rejected once. After finding out that Jane cheated on him with Declan, he breaks up with her, goes off to Niagara Falls, gets drunk and marries Emma. Although he makes a big deal about loving his home and his job at the Dot, he and Emma disappear.

Jimmy - The kid in the wheelchair, who was once a basketball star. He was shot by Rick when Rick thinks Jimmy is the one that threw feathers and paint on him. Jimmy dates Ashley, and then gets dumped when she gets bored with him. Then he dates the black Muslim girl, but gets dumped when he starts getting feelings for Ellie, because Ellie encourages his artistic abilities. Ellie doesn’t like him, so he eventually goes back to Ashley. He tries to lose his virginity with Ashely, but is incapable of getting an erection when she’s around. Viagra doesn’t work. When he meets another wheelchair girl, he falls for her, and Ashley leaves him. He tries to open up a clothing store using his drawings, but gets robbed and closes down. After graduation, he goes to law school. Now, he’s known as Drake, and makes better raps than he ever did with Ashely.

Paige - She’s a bitch. She dated Spinner when she was younger, and was best friends with everyone. Then she became Ms. Popular Bitch. She had an affair with a student teacher, and got rapped at a frat party. She loses he battle when she takes it to court, but crashes into the guys car, so she calls it even. When the student teacher she is dating gets caught and moves away, she gets high with Alex for the first time. She lands a roll in Kevin Smith’s Jay and Silent Bob Go Canadian, Aye movie but gets cut out of it. At the premier, she makes out with Alex and realizes she’s bi. She goes off to a fancy college, has panic attacks, sets her dorm on fire, and flunks out. She comes back home, following around a designer, apparently her dream job. Her parents co-sign a condo for her, and she kind of disappears.

Ellie - Emo girl. Ellie shows up and immediately becomes friends with Ashely, turning her goth. Into piercings and dark poems, Ellie starts dating Marco. They break up when Marco comes out of the closet. When Ellie’s dad goes overseas, her mom starts drinking a whole lot. Ellie starts to cut herself and is later saved by Paige. One night, while Ellie’s mom is drinking, she sets the house on fire. Ellie moves out of her mom’s house at 16 to live with Sean, who she dates. When Sean moves back home, Ellie stays at the apartment, relying on her mom for rent money. Ellie aspires to be a journalist, and is a part of the newspaper when she goes to college. She dates the editor, and later becomes the editor herself. She makes out with Marco, even though he’s still gay, and rekindles her love for Craig when she goes to LA.

Ashely - At first she’s a normal, awkward, singing, song writing, keyboardist teenager. She dates Jimmy, but they break up when she does E and goes into a room with Sean. She later goes goth and becomes best friends with Ellie. She dates Craig and then moves to London and remains there until her “London Lad” dumps her. She apparently did nothing in London because when she comes back she has an extra year of Degrassi to complete. Craig steals one of her songs, Jimmy dumps her for a chick in a wheelchair that drives and Ashley disappears.

Toby - Toby is Ashely’s stepbrother and JT’s best friend. He’s a little nerd who occasionally got attention from the girls. He’s car is a racist that breaks down when Liberty is in the car. JT defends Toby from Lakehurst guys, and is later stabbed by them. After JT dies, Toby falls for Liberty, but it fails miserably because she’s a bit emotional after having the love of her high school life murdered. He later goes on to host robot fights, along side of beautiful women. But that’s a different season.

Sean - Sean is a sensitive bad boy that dates Emma when he first comes to Degrassi. Sean lives with his brother after being kicked out of his parent’s house for deafening a surfer guy. It’s a possibility that he shot Rick, but he was considered a hero for it. The fame is too much for him, so he moves back in with his parents. Sometime before then he dates Ellie and lets her move in when her mom burned down their house. When he comes back to Degrassi, he realizes the love of his life is Emma, but Peter, who is dating Emma at the time, plants weed in his locker, and then lets him take the heat for a hit and run. He goes to jail, Emma realizes she loves him and waits for him. When he gets out, they date, breaking up when he decides to go into the military.

Peter - Peter started off being very into cameras and such. So much, that his first movie is Degrassi Girls Gone Wild, staring Manny and her boobs. Through this, he dates Emma, and helps her through her eating disorder. They break up when he lands Sean in jail for a hit and run. Peter gets put under house arrest, but when Darcy decides to let guys on the spirit squad he decides it’s time to take the camera out again. He helps Darcy sell pictures of her half naked self to an old man that later stalks her. Somehow, they start dating, but break up when she tells him at the last minute that she’s moving to Kenya to help children. He then falls in love with Mia, starts a band with a few new guys and Spinner, gets addicted to meth, and is now the infamous Dot worker.

Alex - Alex dated Jay for a really long time. Both being tough and having the same issues following the law, they seemed like they were meant to be. This ends when Alex finds out that Jay gave her gonorrhea. She works at the movie theater with Paige, with whom she later becomes best friends with. They make out a few times, and Alex finds out she’s a lesbian. They date, but break up after a while. When she graduates, Alex decides to stay at Degrassi another year to bring her marks up. She gets confronted by some chick that she hurt in the past. When she’s done with school, her abused mother and her get evicted for not paying rent. Chad, Alex’s mom’s boyfriend, takes all their money. To make ends meet, Alex becomes a stripper. Feeling ashamed, she moves in with Paige, whom she starts dating again. They break up, again, and Alex moves away to live with her aunt.

Jay - Jay was the ultimate bad boy of Degrassi. He dated Alex for a while. In this time, he did drugs, drank, stole. He had gonorrhea and gave it to Alex and Emma. He was best friends with Sean, but that changed when Sean moved back in with his parents. He then became best friends with Spinner, which changed when Spinner found the lord. Him and Alex broke up when she finds out she was a lesbian. He dates other people that he cries about while high in Marco, Ellie and Paige’s apartment. He agrees to pretend to be engaged to Manny so that her parents will let her go off to college, but ends up falling in love with her and giving her his dead mother’s ring. She pawns it to visit his parents, only to find out it’s a big lie. When he steals the ring back, she dumps him for being the “same old Jay”. They get back together when he goes to Hollywood, and they plan on getting married one day, but they kind of disappeared.

Danny - Danny is Liberty’s little brother. He was really good friends with JT, but when he dies, he replaces JT with Sav and Peter. He was best friends with Derrek at one point, but when Derrek becomes a jerk, they go their separate ways. His story doesn’t really start until the new generation gets there, where he dates a Mia, breaking up because she sleeps around, and then he dates a lying dancer. He graduates with high marks and disappears.

Derrek - Derrek was Danny’s best friend. He was adopted when he was little, and this upsets Liberty. He’s kind of a jerk, and this only continues when he starts playing football. He becomes a sexist, and his story line pretty much dies after that.

Dillon - Dillon was Paige’s gay brother. He dates Marco, cheats on him, then convinces him to date him again. He’s a hockey player, and a mean card player. He has a tattoo of a dragon on his back or chest or something. He leaves Canada to play hockey.
