I'm not going to lie, I hated jpop growing up. It was only after a trip to Asia that I discovered Arashi and even then, I doubt I would have truly been interested in their music if it hadn't been for their variety shows. I first watched vs Arashi and wondered who Arashi even was. I thought the five men were just hosts/friends and had no idea that they were famous singers until a couple months later when I wikipedia-ed them.
Now today, I love their songs. My favourites are Troublemaker, Pikanchi Double, Truth, Oh Yeah, and Believe.
I do realize that jpop probably isn't that popular, but then again, there are tons of things out there that I'm not a fan of either.:)
