After we had Madilyn's 1 year photos taken by HNR Photography, I remembered that Michael's sister told me about Snapfish and all the customization you can create with your photos. A couple weeks ago I uploaded all the photos to Snapfish and got my creativity on! I decided that starting a library of photo books for the kids would be a fun way to display and hold our memories, I think I'll create a photo book for each of their birth months (i.e. year 1, year 2, etc.). Plus, I just don't have the time to scrapbook like I used to, so this is a quicker way to personalize your memory books.
I chose the 8x11 Photo Book which came out to $24.99 - not bad for 20 pages of photos! (Snapfish also has a Special Offers section where I found a code to get 30% off on my photo book). Each size has its own options to choose from; soft cover, dust cover, hard cover, etc. Once you decide on that, you move on to choosing themes for the page decorations or styles. There's a lot to choose from, plus they have solid colors for those who want less of a scrapbook-ey look. After that is the fun part! You can choose which photos go on which pages, and how to place them. You can choose to do one photo per page, multiple photos per page, add text boxes or captions, edit the photos to be portrait or landscape, zoomed in or out, there's so many options that you can find yourself customizing for hours - so be prepared to start a project.
Michael had a good idea to create a photo book of Madilyn's newborn photos, so that might be my next little project :)
