Just a few minutes ago, I finished blinging one of my mechanical pencils! I was so excited to share that I had to go ahead and take a picture and post about it. All my things are like un-girly and just there to serve their purpose which is what I usually go for but today, I found some of my blinged stickers and I was inspired to bling something! I saw on the back of my bling stickers that as an example, they had blinged a pen so I tried this on a mechanic :)
Basically, I just found something that I could always reuse so that I wouldn't be wasting my bling strips! Pens and pencils all run out but mechanics are easy to refill so I chose that. As you can see from the picture, I used bling strips with already come with an adhesive. I took the 2 strips (featured in the picture) and applied them horizontally, alternating each row with one type of bling. That's what gave it the slightly randomized effect. One of the strips had white and black jewels while the other one had red jewels and white pearls :) The bling strips can be found at any craft store but if you can't find them, regular small jewels will do too!
I think it turned out fairly well and I definitely will do this again! What do you think? Have you blinged anything before?
