Lhasa is literally “the place of gods”, the historical capital of legendary Tibet and in the past the residence of dalai-lama. It is not easy to come here: Chinese visa and permission to a stay in Tibet are required. Then in Lhasa there are great opportunities for creating the interesting photographs and for the sinking into the ancient Buddhist culture.
The Potala Palace is a symbol of the city. Another interesting architectural object is Jokhang Temple. You will focus attention on bright architectural components!
Lhasa is located at height of approximately 3600 m above sea level; therefore during the first day of journey do not overdo it - acclimatization will be required for you. Drink more water, go for a walk without hurrying.
